This was a great project where I worked with the CMO and marketing team to discover the best approach to integrate the new "Build a Boat" functionality and do a guided path for the customers to pick the right boat for them. 

Issues:

  1. Difficult customization process
  2. un-responsive design
  3. inconsistent design usage
  4. Location inconsistencies

UX Process:

  1. User Research
    • Design workshop
    • Card sorting
  2. User Story creation
    • User direction for sales funnel
  3. Journey maps
    • Current flow vs. New flow
  4. Wireframes 
    • Low fidelity mockups for template pages 
  5. Adobe XD Prototypes
    • Hi-fidelity pixel-perfect designs of page templates to pass to development.

Sucess Criteria

  1. "Walk me" for boat selection
  2. Clean modern mobile-first experience
  3. Consistent design system for all company's websites
  4. Browser location functionality
